Crouser Puts Four More Past 22 Meters, Has 117 For Career By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Reigning Olympic shot put champion Ryan Crouser lobbed four of his six attempts past the 22-meter mark, with a best of 22.69m (74-5.50) on his final attempt at the Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville. Crouser, who opened his outdoor season at the Drake Relays with 21.93m (71-11.50), exceeded four times on Friday. His best throw was the 13th best of his career. His 117 22-meter throws far surpasses what any other shot putter has done. Ulf Timmerman is second with 39. The only throwers over 22 meters so far in the world this year are Crouser, who threw 22.82m indoors, and Joe Kovacs, who threw 22.72m on May 1.
